To care for your candles, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container to prevent tunneling, and avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time. Do NOT put the lid on whilst the flame is on to snuff the candle. This will burn the top lid and can cause fires.

As for waxmelts, always use melters that are specifically approved for wax melts. Never leave a burning wax warmer or burner unattended, and avoid burning it for more than 4 hours at a time. The best way to change out waxmelts is to leave the melter on until the edges of the waxmelt have melted, making it easy to remove the entire melt with a thick kitchen napkin. You can then snuff out your tealight and gently clean the melter of any residue.
